Ash Soto

Your name/about yourself ?

My name is Ash Soto also known as @radiantbambi on Instagram and I was diagnosed with vitiligo at age 12.

What do you do?

I'm an Instagram body positive influencer in which I transform my condition which is vitiligo into art.

Why did you get into that?

I've been at it for a year now. I new I wanted to make a change and use my platform to help people and make them feel beautiful regardless what they consider an imperfection.

How did you get it started?

It basically started off with me revealing my vitiligo to the world with one picture. I started creating art incorporating my condition and it basically soared off from there.

Name 3 words to describe you best?

Strong, passionate, determined.

Which females influence you the most?

It would definitely be my mother. She has molded me into the woman I am today and I couldn't be more grateful. Winnie Harlow is also another big influence, she's doing amazing being an advocate for vitiligo and killing the modeling game. All in all, my supporters are my biggest influences too. They confide in me to tell me their own struggles and their journey which inspires me everyday.

What struggles have you over come and how?

I've overcome so much since being diagnosed. I was verbally bullied growing up because of my condition which caused me to develop social anxiety. I hid my skin under sweaters and leggings under hot Florida weather because I was so afraid I'd get judged. But I overcame that by challenging myself everyday whether it was telling myself today you're going to wear shorts or just little things like that made me overcome it.

How do you stay positive and focused?

I pretty much try to block out any negativity. Sometimes if you let negative thoughts cloud your mind you won't have a very productive day. I try to write down on a paper each day all things that I'm grateful for and my day immediately starts out on a positive note.

Any words of advice for future girl bosses following in your footsteps?

I'd say never give up. There will be bumps along the way and sometimes you just want to give up but it's your job to pick yourself back up regardless of any scrapes. Those scrapes only make you that much stronger. Never forget to empower yourself and be kind to yourself because you're doing the best you can.

People tattoo themselves to represent a story, my skin is tattooed differently - it's a representation of my journey to self love. All the difficulties, the struggles, & the s

ad moments I went through make it all worth it. If I didn't go through those hard times I wouldn't be the empowered woman I am today. If I didn't have vitiligo I wouldn't be as mentally strong as I am now. I'd never change it for the world. Take whatever you're struggling through and make it into a positive, after every storm there's a rainbow don't forget that

What is one quote you stand by?

"you are beautiful, today, right now,"
